1. What is a PDF file?
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format that was created by Adobe Systems
Inc. to enhance and facilitate document exchange. PDF files are a combination of
graphics, images and text that can be viewed on any operating system (Windows, Macintosh,
Linux) and can be encrypted with different levels of security while maintaining
their original layout and formatting. This makes PDF files the best format for sharing
files and keeping them secure.
2. How many computers can I install and activate Soda PDF™
on using the same license key?
Each license can activate Soda PDF on only 1 computer.
3. I bought Soda PDF but I can't find my license key, how can I retrieve it?
After your purchase, a confirmation email with your license key was sent to the
email address that you provided. The first thing to do is to check that the confirmation
email is not in the Spam folder of your mailbox.

You just need to enter your email address and answer a security question to login
to your customer account and retrieve your purchase information.
4. When I click to download the software it asks me if I want to Run it or Save
it, which should I select?
When downloading you should choose save. After saving the installer to your computer,
run the application.
5. How can I select/change my default program to open PDF files?
Follow these instructions:
• Right click on any PDF file
• Open With
• Choose Program
• Select the PDF program you want to use as default
• Check the box for “Always use the selected program for this kind of file.”
• Click on Ok
Note that upon installation Soda PDF prompts you to select it as your default reader.
6. In the guide it says that I can convert a file to PDF by selecting “Print”. Does
this mean it actually print it on paper?
When you convert using the print option, you must ensure that you choose the Soda
PDF printer before clicking ok. If you choose your local printer it will print the
document on paper.
7. When I convert from PDF to Word will it retain the same fonts and formating?
Yes. When a document is converted from PDF into a word document, the font and layout
will remain the same.
8. Will people who do not have Soda PDF be able to open the PDF documents I create
with Soda PDF?
PDF Documents edited or created with Soda PDF can be opened with any PDF application.
9. When I uninstall Soda PDF, will the documents that I created with the program
be gone?
No, after expiration or un-installation no documents will be changed or removed.
10. Can I purchase Soda PDF in stores?
At the moment Soda PDF is only available through online download.
