Select an image while in Edit mode and use the Auto function to automatically recognize the text contained in the image. Use the Manual function to manually adjust the fields to recognize the text within the image.
Use the Page Range function to recognize the text within the images of a selected range of pages and convert the file to PDF.
Use the Entire Document function to recognize the text within all the images of the current document.
Use the Batch feature to batch recognize the text within the images of multiple documents.
Use the From External Image function to recognize the text of an external image you’ve selected and convert the file to PDF.
Use the Scan and Recognize feature to create a new PDF by scanning a document and saving it as a PDF. You can customize the input settings (i.e., paper size, resolution, width, height, color, etc.) as well as the output settings.
You can access the Options menu directly from the OCR ribbon. The OCR settings include Document Language for Recognition, Recognition Quality, Recognition Settings, PDF Version, PDF Type, PDF Settings, and JPEG 2000 Compression Quality.
